Jacob Jeffrey Sweet, age 22, of Adrian, died unexpectedly on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025. Born October 29, 2003, in Tecumseh, he was the son of Jeffrey Sweet and Michele Rose.
Jacob was a 2022 graduate of Adrian High School and was currently the assistant manager at Little Caesars Pizza in Adrian. He loved sports, especially basketball and football. In his spare time, he enjoyed hanging out with friends and family and playing video games online. He had a special bond with his beloved pet dog, Biscuit, and cat, Lucky. Jacob’s short time on earth was a blessing to many, and he will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his parents; brothers, Devon (Emily) Rose and Dylan Rose; maternal grandfather, Cecil (Connie) Harvey; maternal uncle, Michael Harvey; paternal uncles and aunt, Don Sweet, Mike Sweet, and Deb (Keith) Zubke; nephew, Daxton; niece, Viessa; and many cousins and extended family members.
Jacob was preceded in his death by his maternal grandmother, Barbara Harvey; and his paternal grandparents, Don and Judy Sweet.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian on Saturday, January 3, 2026, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until a funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the service.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family to aid with final expenses, and electronic payments can be made directly through the Tribute Fund on Jacob’s obituary page. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
