LANSING — The Michigan Lottery says 51 players became millionaires in 2025, winning prizes of $1 million or more statewide.
The largest prize of the year was a record $32.91 million Lotto 47 jackpot, won December 13. The winning ticket was purchased at Wild Bills Tobacco on Gratiot Avenue in Chesterfield. That prize has not yet been claimed.
Altogether, the 51 top-tier prizes totaled more than $93 million in winnings. In addition, about 220 players won prizes of at least $100,000 this year.
The Michigan Lottery reports that since it began in 1972, players have collected more than $58 billion in prizes.
Lottery officials also note that 97 cents of every dollar spent is returned to the state through prizes, retailer commissions, and funding for public education.
