ADRIAN — The Lenawee Community Foundation has added new capacity to support local programs with the hiring of Madison Roberts as its Herrick Foundation Grants and Programs Fellow.

The fellowship is designed to strengthen grants, scholarships and community programs that support children, families, seniors, veterans and other residents across Lenawee County.

Roberts brings a background in public health and grant coordination, with degrees in public health and public health policy and law from the University of Toledo. Her experience includes community health initiatives and regional transportation and safety planning.

Lenawee Community Foundation President and Chief Executive Officer Bronna Kahle said the role will focus on listening to local partners and connecting resources to meet community needs.

Roberts, an Adrian native, said she looks forward to giving back to the community that shaped her.

The fellowship is funded through a rural philanthropy initiative supported by the Herrick Foundation and the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation.
