ADRIAN — The Adrian City Police Department is asking for the public’s help regarding an armed robbery that took place on Friday December 5th.
The Adrian City Police report that at approximately 2pm on December 5th, a person entered the Advance America at 1422 South Main Street in Adrian. Surveillance video obtained by the police department shows that upon entry, the person produced a black pistol and instructed employees to turn over cash from the cash drawers as well as safe and saying, “My kids need this.”
According to Adrian Police, in approximately six minutes, the person obtained approximately $5,000 cash before fleeing on foot east along the building’s exterior. A K-9 track was unsuccessful. Witnesses describe the person as being a white male approximately 5 foot 5 to 5 foot 6 tall.
