MONROE — Two 18-year-old suspects were arrested Saturday after they were found with a stolen car, and are now accused of having stolen property from multiple other vehicles, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.

The two individuals, identified as Tenaya Dayshanee Taylor of Monroe and James Lee Harris of Ypsilanti, have been arraigned on charges of receiving and concealing stolen property.

It was reported on Saturday that the two had been arrested at a gas station in Monroe after deputies used FLOCK security cameras to track down a grey Nissan Altima that had been carjacked in Southfield.

Now authorities say that they have recovered evidence from the vehicle that points to “numerous larceny from vehicles” in the City of Monroe and Monroe Township.

Both Taylor and Harris are currently incarcerated at the Monroe County Jail, with each being held on a $10,000 bond.

The case remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 734-240-7530.
