
ADRIAN — State lawmakers wrapped up their final session day of the year this week, focusing on cleanup legislation and a review of how state grant money is being spent.
During a monthly interview on WLEN, State Representative Nancy Jenkins-Arno said the Legislature moved to pause billions of dollars in ongoing grants so lawmakers can reassess whether those projects should continue receiving long-term funding.
Jenkins-Arno said the goal is to increase transparency and ensure taxpayer dollars are used appropriately.
