MONROE — The River Raisin Centre for the Arts will host a holiday jazz concert later this month featuring the Monroe Big Band.
The performance is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the downtown arts center.
The Monroe Big Band, also known as River Raisin Jazz, is a 16-piece jazz orchestra based in Monroe. The group performs throughout southeast Michigan and northwest Ohio and is known for classic big band arrangements alongside holiday music.
The concert will feature traditional swing-era sounds along with Christmas favorites, performed by a full brass and rhythm section with vocalists.
Organizers say the event is designed as a festive night out, suitable for families, couples, and music fans looking to add live entertainment to their holiday plans.
