Barbara Villarreal, age 62, of Manitou Beach, Michigan, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and under the care of Hospice of Lenawee.

Barb was born on November 10, 1963, in Saginaw, MI, the fourth of seven children to Raven “Ray” and Yvonne (LaRue) Raleigh. She graduated from Madison High School and entered the workforce. Barb was employed with Ford Motor Company for many years and worked in Saline and Livonia.

On Valentine’s Day in 1992, Barb married her sweetheart, Daniel S. Villarreal, in Adrian, MI. They have been blessed with over 33 years together and raised two beautiful daughters. Family was the center of Barb’s world, and she helped create many fond memories through camping adventures and boat rides. When her grandbabies were born, she knew “Gigi” was a role she was meant to live to the fullest.

She was a dedicated sports fan who cheered on her favorite teams- the University of Michigan Wolverines, Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Tigers and NASCAR with Joey Logano being her favorite driver. Barb liked to work outdoors in her garden and there was always room to plant more flowers.

In addition to her husband, Dan, she is survived by her mother, Yvonne; daughters, Whitney (Zach) Brewer and Shayla Villarreal; grandbabies, Remi and Easton Brewer; siblings, Deb (Johnny) Hall, Gary (Joanna) Raleigh, Trisha (Paul) Kintner, Mary (Kelvin) Cabose, and Jim (Lisa) Raleigh; many loving nieces and nephews; and her canine companion, Roxy. Barb was preceded in death by her father, Ray; brother Scott Raleigh and niece Ravin Raleigh.
