LENAWEE CO — We are heading into the last few dyas for Medicare Open Enrollment, which ends Saturday, December 7.
Local residents still have time to review their Medicare plans, make changes, and ensure prescription coverage for 2026.
The MI Options program is offering free, confidential, and unbiased assistance through the State Health Insurance Assistance Program. Counselors can help residents compare plans, check drug coverage, and determine eligibility for Medicare Savings Programs under the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act.
Appointments are available by phone or in person. Residents can contact MI Options counselors at 517-592-1974 or 800-803-7174 for support before the deadline.
Open Enrollment runs through Dec. 7, and officials encourage anyone with questions about premiums, prescriptions, or plan changes to reach out as soon as possible.
