JACKSON — The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and Experience Jackson have announced the hiring of Melissa Burgett as the new vice president of community and business engagement.
Burgett steps into the role previously held by Tim Booth, who will remain on staff during the transition before retiring in early 2026.
According to the Chamber, Burgett brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, education, and organizational development, with a background in community outreach and partnership building. Her previous work included coordinating outreach initiatives at Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists, where she supported public events, scholarship programs, and race series that connected local families with health resources.
Chamber President and CEO Ryan Tarrant said her leadership experience and community focus align with the organization’s long-term goals for growth.
Burgett, originally from Cleveland, holds degrees from Ohio University and John Carroll University.
