MORENCI — The Kiwanis Club of Morenci will host its annual Lighted Holiday Parade, Visit with Santa, and Community Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 6 at Wakefield Park.
The parade steps off at 6 p.m. from the Morenci High School parking lot on Coomer Street, with lineup beginning at 5:15. The route will travel west on Coomer, south on East Street, and west on Main Street before ending at the park.
After the parade, families can stop at the Morenci Fire Department for a visit with Santa, cookies, hot chocolate, and small take-home gifts.
The Community Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 6:30 at Wakefield Park. This year marks the debut of the Kiwanis Yuletide Lights and Legacy Lane, featuring more than 80 decorated trees sponsored by local families, organizations, and businesses.
Mayor Tracy Schell will offer brief remarks, and the Morenci Marching Band will perform. Yankee Doodle Dogs will sell food beginning at 5:30.
