Judith “Judy” Ann Wood, age 81, of Adrian, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the Hospice of Lenawee Home.

Born on January 25, 1944, in Wauseon, Ohio, Judy was the daughter of Roy and Catherine (Chambers) Waldfogel. She graduated from Adrian High School and continued her education at Stautzenberger College.

Judy dedicated 32 years of her professional life to Bixby Hospital, where she worked as a Medical Transcriptionist. Even after retiring, she remained committed to her work by continuing from home

A woman of deep faith, Judy was an active member of Bethany Assembly of God. Her passion for music was evident in her many talents. She played the piano, organ, violin, directed choirs, and sang in the Joy Bell Trio. Above all, Judy treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren. Her love for family remained at the heart of her life.

To cherish her memory, Judy leaves her four children: Nancy Howard, Stephen (Nancy) Wood, Diana (Tim) Eichenauer, and Michael (Holly) Wood; 10 grandchildren: Karen (Jonathan) Johnson, Christopher Wood, Mykahla Frayer, Nicholas (Samantha) Howard, Elizabeth (Issac) Gallnitz, Jonathan (Kaleigh) Wood, Katrina Wood, Callie Frayer, Nathan Howard, and Erin Howard; eight great grandchildren; a brother, Jerry (Jackie) Waldfogel; two nieces, Carri Griesinger and Julie Waldfogel; and a lifelong friend, Helen Bennett.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Joshua Frayer; two brothers, Phillip Waldfogel and Gene Waldfogel; and a nephew, Daniel Waldfogel.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 11:00 am, with Judy’s son, Pastor Michael Wood, officiating. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian.
