ADRIAN — The Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute is expanding in Lenawee County with the purchase of 30 acres from Gleaner Life Insurance Society.
Founded in Adrian in 2015, the Institute has grown into a national trades school and says the expansion will allow construction of a new campus to meet increasing enrollment demand.
Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2026, with classes expected to start during the 2027 academic year.
Gleaner Life has been headquartered on its 106-acre Adrian property since 1980 and supports education efforts through scholarships and community initiatives.
The property is located in Adrian Township at the corner of Forrister Road and Hamilton Highway.
