ADRIAN — Adrian Public Schools Superintendent Nate Parker has revealed the results of a recent survey sent to students, parents and teachers across the district regarding technology use in and out of the classroom.
Survey questions largely focused on the effectiveness of the district’s 1 to 1 Chromebook initiative, which started during the COVID-19 pandemic and aimed to provide all students in grades 6 through 12 with their own Chromebook.
Teachers were asked how often they utilized Chromebooks in their classes and whether they increased student engagement, while students were asked what they use the Chromebooks for and how it affects their learning, and parents were asked whether their kids had access to other computers at home, among other questions.
Parker told WLEN News that the responses regarding this initiative were largely positive…

Although the school’s initiative seemed to result in a positive response, Parker noted that only 122 parents responded to the survey, despite the district having over 2500 students.
