ADRIAN — The City of Adrian is launching its third Adrian Community Academy, a free 10-week course designed to help residents learn how local government works.

The program runs Thursday evenings from January 8th through March 12th, with sessions from 6 to 7:30 PM. Most meetings will take place at the Adrian City Chambers Building on East Maumee Street, with additional visits to facilities like the fire department, water and wastewater plants, and parks.

Each week will feature a different city department, with presentations from department heads on operations, decision-making, and budgeting.

Participation is limited to 25 Adrian residents, and applications are being accepted now on the city’s website through December 12th.

Once selected, participants will be contacted about their enrollment.
