BROOKLYN — Michigan International Speedway will host its 17th annual MIS Cares Charity Track and Toy Drive on Saturday, December 6, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Fans who donate a non-perishable food item or a new, unwrapped toy can drive a lap around the track in their own vehicle. All donations benefit local organizations, including Lenawee County Toys for Tots, Jackson County Toys for Tots, and St. Mary’s of Good Counsel Parish Food Pantry.

Speedway President Joe Fowler said the event helps kick off the holiday season and is meant to support families in the Irish Hills area.

Drivers must be at least 18, hold a valid license, show proof of insurance, stay under 65 miles per hour, and keep above the yellow line. No RVs, motorcycles, or tractor trailers are allowed.

If weather prevents track use, a make-up date will be scheduled.

Additionally, the Nite Lites drive-thru holiday display runs November 21 through January 4 at the speedway.
