The Honorable Judge Jeremy Aciete Inyanka Eminciyapi Brave Heart, proud member of the Shawnee Tribe and devoted Tribal Federal Judge, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, surrounded by his sisters and loved ones. He was forty five years old. Jeremy was born on July 17, 1980, and from an early age he grew into a man defined by integrity, strength, compassion, and a deep commitment to his people. His life was one of service to his family, his community, and his tribe. Jeremy dedicated his career to upholding justice with fairness, wisdom, and respect as a Tribal Federal Judge. His leadership and commitment to the Shawnee Tribe left a lasting impact on everyone he served. His legacy will continue through the lives and community he helped protect and uplift. Outside of his work, Jeremy embraced the things that brought him joy. He loved hunting, writing poetry, caring for his guns, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with his family. More than anything, he loved his daughters Audreyana, Maren, and Ruby. They were the greatest pride and joy of his life. Jeremy is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Cheryl Charley, who passed away on January 5th 2013. We take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with her, embraced in the love he has missed for so long. He is survived by his daughters, his fiancé Lyndsay, and his sisters Shauma Smith, Tashina Stover, Chelsea Stover, and Aeniayh Gendreau (Damien). He is remembered with love by many relatives, friends, colleagues, and by the Shawnee community he served with honor. Jeremy lived a life of service, heritage, love, and heart. His wisdom, humor, and warmth will be forever cherished by everyone who knew him. Those who wish to honor Jeremy may contribute to the memorial fund, which will go to his daughters. He served with honor and we will honor him with love. Arrangements with Purse Funeral Home. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
