Terry Strand, age 71, passed away, November 10, 2025, under the care of Hospice of Lenawee.
He was born on May 7, 1954 in Tecumseh, MI, to Henry Strand II and Betty (Strand) DesAutel.
Terry married Mary Strand on February 18th 1977. The couple had 3 children, Terrence Strand, Marya Strand, Kim Harris.
Terry is survived by his wife Mary, son Terry (Amanda); daughters Marya Strand and Kim (Warren) Harris; granddaughters, Morgan Strand, Hollie Strand, Taylor Strand and Mya Harris; grandsons, Tye Bullerdick, Austin Strand, Jesse Harris, and Levi Harris; great granddaughter Olivia Jacobs, and great grandson Elijah Strand.
He is also survived by his sisters, Donna Logan, Joann Declercq, Marcelle Nolan, and Tina (Ivan) Eberly; step sister, Wanda McComb; brothers, Mark (Bertha) Strand, and Mitchell Strand; bother-in-law Bruce Yager; and sister-in-law, Margaret Strand.
Terry is preceded in death by his father Henry Strand II, mother Betty DesAutel, sisters, Carol Whelan, Sonia Reese, Darlene Yager, brother Henry (Fred) Strand, brother-in-laws Bob Reese, Bob Logan, Kevin Nolan, Greg Declercq, step bother Henry Desaultel, and step father Henry Desautel.
Terry proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1974 to 1976. He was immensely proud and grateful for his time in service.
In his free time, Terry pursued his passion for the outdoors, enjoying fishing and hunting. He was also a talented craftsman who loved woodworking, crafting, and listening to music.
Terry shared a special, unique relationship with each of his children, and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Honoring his wishes, Terry will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
