Arden James Robinson – Adrian

Arden James “AJ” Robinson, age 77 of Adrian, passed away at ProMedica Toledo Hospital on November 7, 2025, with his loving family at this side. AJ was born on March 18, 1948, in Hudson, MI to James Frederick and Thelma Lavone (Ansley) Robinson.

AJ was a graduate of Adrian High School with the Class of 1967. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1967 until he was honorably discharged in 1971. He served in the Navy Reserve from 1971 until 1973 and later joined the Michigan National Guard until 1975. AJ was proud of his military service and was a member of American Legion Post 97. On July 12, 1975, he was joined in marriage to Linda Lou Knauss in Adrian, and she survives him.

AJ was a welder at Blissfield Manufacturing for many years before retiring. He enjoyed tinkering around the house and out in the garage. AJ liked to play Solitaire on his computer during his down time. He was a very sociable person who looked out for everyone in the neighborhood and knew about what was happening with his neighbors. Above all else, AJ loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather.

AJ is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda; their children, Brian Robinson, Christopher (Nnekia) Robinson, Travis (Nikki) Robinson, and Lacey (Dieter Southfield) Robinson; sisters, Audrey (Jim) Lambes and Kristine Casper; grandchildren, Elsa Robinson, Wade Robinson, and Kaedyn Melear; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cheryl Conklin; brother, Dale Robinson; grandson, Trevor Robinson; and brother-in-law, Chris Casper.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian. Military Honors will be held at the funeral home with burial to follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian.
