ADRIAN — The City of Adrian Utilities Department will begin its fall hydrant flushing program on Sunday, November 9.
The process is expected to take about two to three weeks to complete. Most flushing will take place overnight — between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. — to limit inconvenience for residents.
Officials remind residents to check their water before doing laundry, especially when washing white clothing. If water appears rusty, run cold water briefly until it clears.
Anyone with questions or concerns can contact the Adrian Utilities Department at 517-264-4825 or 517-264-4859.
