
James “Jim” Irwin Moore, age 82, of Osseo, Michigan, passed away on October 31, 2025.
Jim shared his love of tractors with everyone who would listen. He spent much of his time hunting and enjoying the outdoors. He loved making his own ammunition and shared that talent with many. He took great pride in teaching his grandchildren how to safely handle firearms.
Known for his gift of storytelling, Jim loved to be the center of attention and always had a joke ready to make others laugh.
He had a special fondness for his beloved cat, Knucklehead, and his loyal dogs, Mabel and River.
Jim married Evelyn (Stiverson) on September 30, 1963.
Jim is survived by his wife, Evelyn Moore; his children, Larry (Ann Marie) Moore, Sandra (Charles) Blagden, and Carolee (Steven) Hartman; and his grandchildren, Jessica Moore, Elisha Hartman, Tyler (Lauren) Brummel, Taylor Hartman, Jacob Moore, Jordan Moore, and Zachary (Madison) Hartman. He is also survived by his great-grandson, Augustine Brummel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milford Moore and Helen Fowler and his grandson, Joshua Moore.
In keeping with Jim’s wishes, there will be no services. Contributions can be made to Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility.
Jim will be remembered for his humor, his love of the outdoors, and the countless stories and laughter he shared with those who knew him best.
