Myron “Mike” Lewis LeVeck, age 92, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away at home on Friday, October 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and with the support of Elara Caring Hospice.
Mike was born on February 23, 1933, in Jasper, MI, the son of Howard and Edith (Dress) LeVeck. He graduated from Tecumseh High School with the Class of 1952. Mike was a Korean War veteran who served his country in the United States Army for two years, and was stationed in Uijeongbu, South Korea for the majority of that time. Mike was proud of the time he spent serving his country in the Army.
Mike’s career was in the insurance field, starting out with Washington National Insurance before he branched out into the LeVeck Insurance Company. After 35 years of paperwork and claims, he was ready to retire. Deciding he wasn’t quite ready to slow down, Mike went to work for Morning Fresh Bakery delivering donuts for the next 15 years. At the spry age of 84, Mike retired again.
Sometimes you get lucky in life and cross paths with someone at the right time. Mike ran into a former acquaintance, Margrette (Vickery) Renner, later in life and the two struck up a friendship. They were married at home on February 26, 2021. Mike and Margrette enjoyed meeting up with family and friends at McDonalds and the Tip Top in Adrian. Mike liked to get out on the water fishing or try his luck at the casino. He will be remembered for his kindness and giving nature.
In addition to his wife, Margrette, he is survived by his children, Mark (Trisha) LeVeck, Darlene LeVeck, Pamela (Kevin) Arquette and Michelle (Brian) Shuman; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley McCarty; stepchildren, Michael Renner, Sherri (Rod) Long and James (Janelle) Renner; 2 step grandchildren; and former son-in-law and good friend, Michael Fee. He was preceded in death by his son, Steve LeVeck; grandson, Josh LeVeck; granddaughter, Amber Fee; brothers, Paul, Robert and James LeVeck; and sister, Carol Bender.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Nathan Elarton officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #97.
