ADRIAN — The Lenawee County NAACP has named City of Adrian Police Chief Vince Emrick the Larry Richardson Memorial Police Officer of the Year at this year’s annual Freedom Fund Banquet.
The award was presented for his steady leadership, including during times when he also served as interim city administrator, and for his work supporting immigrant and Latino residents during recent ICE activity.
While accepting the award, Chief Emrick reflected on the leaders he learned from early in his career.
