It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cora Morrison, who left us on Wednesday, Oct 8th, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. Born on April 29, 1934, in Brooklyn, West Virginia, Cora, age 91, was the oldest daughter of Ottie Jackson and Drucilla Gwinn Berry. Cora will be deeply missed.

Cora touched the lives of many through her work as a caregiver and a professional seamstress. She was also a member of the VFW and the Senior Center in Dundee, MI. Her talents were endless. Cora excelled in crocheting, crafting, and gardening. She loved the outdoors, especially when she was working in her garden and tending to her many beautiful plants and flowers. She spent many years exploring and living in the mountains of West Virginia, her home away from home. She truly enjoyed reality shows and the outdoors, as well as sharing her porch and yard with her amazing friends and neighbors. Cora had a special place in her heart for the little ones who visited often. She was eager to share her knowledge and gifts with all. She was a woman with many talents and with a plethora of knowledge. Cora cherished time with her family and never met a stranger; you were guaranteed to have a friend in her.

Cora is survived and very much missed by her children, Joy (Chuck) Lynn, Royale (John) Thompson, Kenny (Sue) Morrison, William (Sandy) Morrison, Malana (Craig) Hubbard, Cornelia (Mark Gogola) Day, and Yolanda Lane; her grandchildren, Victor (Andrea), Holly, Charlotte (Paul), Kyle, Matthew (Rachel), Ashlynn (Jake) and Benjamin, Emory, Brandon, Brent; her great-grandchildren, Anthony (Lindsey), Trinity, Noah, James, and Isabella; her great great grandson, Sid; her sister, Doris (Meldon) Goins, many nephews and nieces, along with her special niece, Sandy Rosiek (phone buddy).

In addition to her parents, Ottie and Drucilla, Cora was preceded in death by Roy Morrison and her son-in-law, Bob Lane.

As per Cora’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for Cora will be held on October 31, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., concluding the evening with the distribution of candy in her memory. Location: 508 Center Dr., Tecumseh, MI. 49286.
