Judy A. McCarty, age 83, of Adrian, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Otterbein Sunset Village in Sylvania. She was born June 5, 1942, in West Virginia to William and Loretta (Burgess) Barker. On November 15, 1958, she married the love of her life Duane McCarty, with whom she had 3 children with. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2019. Judy had been employed as a Dental Assistant and worked for various dentists in Adrian throughout her career. Judy loved to cook and bake for her family; you could also find her in the kitchen during the summer canning vegetables from her beloved husband’s garden. The joy of her existence was her children and grandchildren. Devout to her Christian faith, she was a member of the former Trenton Hills United Brethren Church in Adrian. She loved flowers mainly Iris, Peonies, Lilacs and Roses. One thing that brought her so much joy was when her husband would bring her a bouquet of flowers out of his garden just to see that beautiful smile that she had.

Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Kimberly (Kevin) Baldwin of North Carolina, Sheree McCarty (Ron Baldwin) of Adrian, MI, and Kristi McCarty of Toledo, OH; six grandchildren, Brandy, Whitney, Trinity, Adam, Brooke and Lauren; ten great-grandchildren, Bryson, Kennedie, McCoy, Wilder, Barrett, Beau, Avery, Katelyn, Madisyn, and Eli. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane; and brother Jerry Barker; and her fur babies, Tinker and Kia.

Visitation will be held at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 PM. Pastor Adam Lynch will officiate, and interment will follow in Lenawee County Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh.
