JACKSON — The Michigan Department of Transportation will close the Michigan Avenue north roundabout at I-94 in Jackson for repairs starting Monday, October 13.
According to MDOT, this work is part of the $162 million I-94 rebuilding project in Jackson County, funded through Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s Rebuilding Michigan program. The overall project is scheduled to wrap up in November.
The closure will last two weeks, from October 13 to October 27. Eastbound I-94 traffic will detour using the Parma Road on and off ramps, while westbound drivers will detour via Concord and Parma Road exits.
Officials say the work is being done by the project contractor before final completion. The project is expected to support about 1,960 jobs and improve safety and mobility along this key trade corridor.
