ADRIAN — An Adrian woman died after being ejected from her vehicle in a crash in Fairfield Township on Friday.
Lenawee County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Lyons Highway, just north of Mulberry Road, at 3:12 PM for a single-vehicle crash.
Initial reports indicate the driver, identified as a 38-year-old female from Adrian, was traveling alone northbound on Lyons Highway in a grey 1999 Jeep Cherokee when she entered a ditch.

The driver was transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital by Madison Township Fire & Ambulance, where she later died from her injuries.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, it did not appear that the driver was wearing a seatbelt, and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
This crash remains under investigation by the Lenawee County Accident Investigation Team.
