ADRIAN — Michigan State Police and several local agencies will hold a law enforcement exercise on Thursday at the ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital campus.

The training will take place from 9 a.m. to noon. Signs will be posted around the campus, but no roads or highways are expected to close. Officials said the exercise will not be inside the hospital, and the community impact should be minimal.

Residents may notice real-life sights and sounds, including simulated weapons and radio traffic. No live ammunition will be used.

The drill will not interrupt public safety services. People in the area should continue calling 9-1-1 to report real emergencies.

Authorities emphasized this is only a training exercise, and the public is not invited to attend.
