Bonita Jean Traxler, age 84, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Tecumseh Place, in Tecumseh, MI. She was born in Morenci, MI on February 21, 1941, the daughter of the late Samuel Martin and Georgiana (Rumisek) Vince.
Bonita was a member of Tecumseh Missionary Baptist Church. She was a contented homemaker who enjoyed simple pleasures, including reading, running, and sewing.
Bonita is survived and missed by her sister, Bernita Cramer of Tecumseh, MI; her brother, Mike (Sue) Vince of Whitmore, CA; and her niece, Lisa (Thom) Peachee, also of Whitmore, CA. In addition to her parents, Bonita was preceded in death by her nephew, Duane Vince.
Visitation for Bonita will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 from 10am-11am at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Funeral service will follow at 11am with Pastor Brian Jones officiating. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Assumption, OH. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Tecumseh Missionary Baptist Church.
