BLISSFIELD — The Blissfield Village Council has approved new contracts for the village’s electrical, plumbing, and mechanical inspectors.
The agreements put the inspectors’ pay and job duties in writing, making the system more clear and consistent.
The move follows a similar contract that was approved for the building inspector last year.
Officials say there is no pay raise connected to these new agreements. Instead, the goal is to make sure all inspectors are working under the same rules and that the village stays in compliance with state law.
The council voted to approve the agreements Monday night at its regular meeting.
