ADRIAN — The Boys and Girls Club of Lenawee is starting new school year programs next week in Adrian and Hudson.
The Club serves kids from first through twelfth grade with after-school homework help, sports, arts, and meals. Staff include local teachers and college students.
The group is also preparing for its 20th Blue Jean Ball fundraiser on Thursday, September 4, at the Adrian Club site. Tickets are $100 and include dinner, entertainment, and an auction.
Sara Herriman, CEO of the Boys and Girls Club in Lenawee, said the event is a major part of their budget.
More than 150 kids attend daily, and nearly 1,000 are served each year. Families can sign up now for free at the Boys and Girls Club website.
