
ADRIAN — A 39-year-old woman was arraigned today in Lenawee County District Court, accused of leaving the scene of a serious crash in Adrian last year.
Felicia Racine Madison is charged with a felony for failing to stop after an accident that seriously injured a pedestrian, Dakota Courington. The incident happened on August 9, 2024, near Chestnut and Clinton Streets.
Court officials said Madison was driving a silver Chevrolet Cruze and did not remain at the scene as required by law. She now faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
A $25,000 bond was set, and she has been assigned a public defender. Her next court appearance is a bond hearing scheduled for Thursday, August 21 at 1 p.m. in front of Judge Todd Morgan.
A probable cause hearing is set for August 27. A preliminary exam is scheduled for September 3.
