DEERFIELD — Gerber Hill Park’s newest features were officially dedicated Monday with a ribbon-cutting. Families and park supporters gathered to celebrate the opening of a StoryWalk and musical playground on the north side of the park.
The project, supported through grant funding and community partnerships, was designed to honor the park’s history while adding new educational and recreational opportunities.
Former County Commissioner Karol “KZ” Bolton, who helped launch the idea, said the new amenities bring both fun and learning to the park:
