ADRIAN — Lenawee County residents recycled more in July than in any month over the past three years.

The county’s drop-off site collected more than 42 tons of materials last month, including about 29 tons of cardboard and paper and 13 tons of plastic, glass, and aluminum.

Officials say this is the highest total since at least 2022.

The county operates the drop-off site for residents who do not have curbside pickup. Recycling helps reduce waste in landfills and keeps reusable materials in circulation. The drop-off site is open to all county residents.
