ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Veterans Office says local veterans got important help paying bills in July.
At Friday’s VA meeting, officials reported that one veteran received just over two thousand dollars to cover late rent, an electricity shutoff notice, food, and gas.
The Michigan Veterans Trust Fund also approved help for three other veterans in the county. The support covers car repairs, shelter costs, and past-due mortgage and electric bills.
County leaders say they are still working on next year’s budget, and a new campus project is moving ahead, with a ribbon-cutting expected this fall.
