
Margaret I. “Peggy” Bush, age 97, of Britton, MI of passed away, July 20, 2025 at home surrounded by family. She was born March 29, 1928, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Cedric S. and Grace (Shoebridge) Wood. On October 17, 1949, she married Leland Elwood Bush in Ann Arbor, MI, He preceded her in death on November 3, 2009.
Throughout Peggy’s life she shared her musical talents with most everybody she knew. She enjoyed her crafts and flowers. Peggy was a member of the Iris Garden Society and the National Geological Society. During her adult life, Peggy was deeply dedicated to the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, where she faithfully used her sign language talents to serve and connect with the Deaf community. Above all, she dearly loved her family.
Peggy is survived by, her 12 children, David (Barbara), Daniel (Lynn), Darwin (Sherry), Darrel (Karen), Delphine Avery, Douglas (Roxane), Dwight (Mary), Dawn Wyse, Deborah Frederick, Dorothy Witt, Dianna (Tommy) Warren, and Dara (Todd) Bahlmann; 63 grandchildren; 82 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Elwood, she was preceded in death by her brother Stephen Wood and great grandson Oliver Bush.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on The Ridge, Britton, MI with Rev. Pete Burch and Rev. Thomas Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow at Macon Cemetery, Macon Township, MI.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service also at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on The Ridge.
