BLISSFIELD — Blissfield’s farmers market is gaining momentum with a new working group and growing vendor interest ahead of a likely Tuesday evening launch.
During the Downtown Development Authority’s July meeting, officials confirmed that 10 to 12 vendors have already expressed interest in participating. A dedicated working group has been formed to coordinate logistics, vendor outreach, and scheduling.
While exact dates have not been announced, Tuesday evenings appear to be the preferred time among both vendors and organizers. Officials noted that two to three additional vendors are being sought before launching the market. Planning meetings are expected to begin next month.
The DDA said the market will include both local produce and handmade goods. Finalized vendor lists and dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
If successful, the Tuesday night market could become a recurring downtown event and an anchor for increased foot traffic and small business activity in the village center.
