Carl D. McLaughlin, age 82, of Sand Creek, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Hospice Home of Hospice of Lenawee surrounded by his loving family.
Carl was born August 12, 1942, in Hillsdale, Michigan to Harold E. and Dorene M. (Stanton) McLaughlin. On June 5, 1960, he married his high school sweetheart Joy Mann and she survives. He was a member of the Model-A Cars Club, he was a volunteer fire chief for Fairfield for 20 years. He also enjoyed fishing and looked forward every year to the annual family vacation to Ludington.
Carl is survived by his wife Joy, a daughter, Kay (Randy) McGraw of Adrian; two sons, Carl II (Michelle) McLaughlin of Adrian, Pat (Serena) McLaughlin of Weston, MI; a sister, Marlene (Henry) Howard of Tecumseh, MI; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and sister-in-law Linda McLaughlin of Maumee, OH and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Duane McLaughlin, and two brothers in infancy.
Funeral services for Carl will be held Thursday July 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, Michigan with Pastor James Mann officiating. Burial will follow in Lyons Cemetery. Visitation will be July 2, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee.
