
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Jeffrey Patton, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who left us on June 23, 2025 .Born on December 22, 1958, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, Roger was a charismatic figure known for his kindness and passion for life. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable stories that will resonate in the hearts of many.
Roger married the love of his life, Gertrude Butler, on July 10, 1991. Together, they shared 47 wonderful years filled with joy, adventures, and an unbreakable bond. Roger took great pride in being a father to his son, Jeffrey Patton, who resides in Nashville, TN. He is also survived by his siblings, Connie Trissell, Michael (Debbie) Patton, and Terri Treanor, and was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Roger Jeffrey Patton was a good guy in every sense of the word. Roger’s life was marked by his sense of community and dedication to his work. For over 30 years, he owned and operated Bird Lake Storage, where he made countless friends. Roger had a natural gift for connecting with people—always ready with a helping hand or a good story. A classic Chevy guy, Roger had a passion for cars and spent many happy hours tinkering and talking shop.
One of Roger’s greatest loves was deer hunting, a tradition he cherished deeply. Each year, from October 1 to January 1, he could be found in the woods, immersed in nature and enjoying the thrill of the hunt.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marilyn (Kammer) Patton and his brother Russell Patton.
In honor of Roger’s love for the outdoors, memorial contributions may be made to the Kids Hunting Foundation. Per Roger’s wishes cremation has taken place.
