ADRIAN — Lenawee County saw a slight uptick in overall waste collection last month, while recycling rates dipped compared to both March and last April.
Solid waste totaled 4,869 tons, edging out last month’s figures and closely matching last year’s numbers. The recycling rate came in at 32.95%, falling slightly short of past performance. A significant boost in medical waste from ProMedica helped balance the load, but officials noted the need for continued outreach and education to improve sorting and recovery.
