Larry Jay Ross “Rooster”, of Onsted, MI, passed away at Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson MI on May 26, 2025. Larry was born in Adrian, MI to Norman Ross and Magdeline (Vershum) Ross on April 7, 1962. Larry attended Onsted Community Schools. Larry worked construction, he was an all-around Jack-of-all-trades. Larry enjoyed the outdoors, hunting fishing and searching for morel mushrooms. Larry had a very big heart, and enjoyed helping others. Larry will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Larry is survived by his brother Archie (Deborah) Ross; Nieces and Nephews, Daryl (Alicia) Ross, Andrea Ross , Hannah (Thomas) Conway, and Megan Ross, Miranda Ross, Terry JR Ross, Elise Barsdale; Larry’s Partner of 33 years, Dawn Meads; Two granddaughters, Haven and Ellie Bowers; and multiple Aunts and Uncles and Cousins. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Brother, Terry Ross; Sister, Barbara Barsdale; and Nephew Paul Barsdale. Memorial services (Celebration of life) will be held at his home 9405 Springville Hwy, Onsted MI 49265 on June 7, 2025. The prayer service will be conducted by Paster Tom McMichael and begin at 5pm, a fellowship and celebration of life will follow. Memorial donations would be greatly appreciated to the life partner Dawn Meads.
