Eric Weathers was born in Toledo, Ohio to his late parents Jessie Sr. and Mary Weathers on September 1, 1971. He was brought up in Bethel A.M.E Church. He was an altar boy, an usher, and sang in the children’s youth choir. Eric went to high school at Adrian High and graduated in 1991. At only 15, he started working in the fields picking tomatoes and sooner after he became an industrial worker for over 30 years. He enjoyed computer programming and building, grilling, card games, going to the movies and camping. Eric brought a joyful light to others lives with his humor and enthusiasm and could teach those around him just about anything they wanted to know. He was involved within the Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor community to help make a difference in many lives. Eric is survived by his daughter, Keyana Weathers and her children, Elijah Weathers and Isaac Wilson of Whittaker, MI; Late older brother Jessie Weathers Jr. and his daughter Keilagha Weathers (niece) of San Antonio, TX; older brother Terrence Weathers and his late wife Debbie of Virginia, Virginia Beach; younger sister Verna Weathers and her daughter, K’Andra Weathers (niece) and her children Sha’Nya and Za’Ryah Hunter (great nieces) of Ypsilanti, MI; younger brother Jonathon Weathers of Ypsilanti, MI. One surviving Aunt Lillie Seward of Humboldt, TN and many cousins and friends in Michigan and Tennessee. Memorial Service will be held at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 326 East Butler St. Adrian, MI 49221 on June 21, 2025 at 1:00PM with Reverend Deanne Henagan of Bethel A.M.E Church officiating. He will be laid to rest with his parents and brother in Humboldt, TN on June 28th 2025. Memorial donations may be made to Keyana Weathers, PO Box 511 Whittaker, MI 48190.
