BLISSFIELD — The River Raisin Festival’s Battle of the Bands returns for its third year on Saturday, July 12, as part of Blissfield’s 41st annual summer celebration.
Local bands are now being recruited to compete for a $1,000 winner-take-all grand prize. Finalists will perform 40-minute sets on the Pavilion Stage between 3 and 11 p.m., with fan donations and mystery judges deciding the winner.
A refundable $100 deposit is required to enter. Bands must agree to use the festival’s professional sound system and keep both attire and content family-friendly.
Festival President Rick Allen says the competition keeps the entertainment lineup fresh and showcases a wide range of local talent. It’s sponsored by Aaron and Karen Ricketts.
Interested bands can email a video submission or request details by contacting Allen at rrf.vendors@gmail.com.
