ADRIAN — The Community Action Agency is calling for volunteers — no tax experience is needed.
They’re kicking off a free, three-week online training program for anyone interested in joining the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, better known as VITA.
The training begins June 9 and will run on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — all via Zoom.
VITA volunteers help local residents file their tax returns, making sure they get any refunds and credits they qualify for. And according to organizers, the help is needed more than ever.
The Community Action Agency says you can set your schedule — and they’ll provide all the training you need.
