On the morning of May 16, 2025 Michael D Starinki of Adrian, Michigan passed into the arms of the Lord at home with his family by his side, under the care of Elara Caring Hospice.

Mike faced and championed Parkinson’s for more than 10 years by maintaining a positive healthy lifestyle and running 5 days a week. Courageously he fought again. However, cancer was a challenge that could not be beaten.

Memorial service will be conducted at a later date, at St Sebastian’s Church Akron, Ohio. Internment will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery Akron, Ohio.

Mike liked so many things in this world. He will be remembered for his love of nature, the night sky, fishing at Willow Lake, finding fossils, collecting National Geographic, meeting new people, playing whiffle ball with his grandkids and spending time with his family.

Running made Mike happy. His longest event was a 24 hour relay in Oregon but he was just as happy with a 5k or a run with family.

His profession as a Quality Engineer meant a lot to him. He held the distinguished achievement of a Certified Quality Engineer, through the American Society of Quality. His job moved his family several times, and finally settled into Michigan. Working for Merillat and later Masco Corporation. He retired from Zhongding which afforded the opportunity to travel to China.

Mike was born March 23, 1954 in Akron, Ohio to Jerome and Dorothy Starinki.

He is survived by his wife Deb Starink; son, Michael A Starinki (Lina); daughters, Melissa Thompson (David), Meghan Baulch (Todd), and Mary Elizabeth Starinki Garza (Eric); grandchildren, Ben Thompson, Brad Baulch, Lily Thompson, Zoe Marin Starinki, and Mikey Garza; sister, Marianne Heisler (Mark); uncle, Bill Starinki; nephew, Matt Heisler; nieces, Dawn (Chaz Gessner) Heisler and Jackie (John) Henry; and a host of cousins and friends
