
Nancy VanNieuwenhze, age 76, of Jasper, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, May 24th, at ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital. She was born February 9, 1949, to Archie and Lila Butler of Weston, Michigan.
Nancy was retired from Kelly Veterinary Services and also worked at Clift GMC, and NuVision in the Adrian Mall. She enjoyed crafting – selling many of her crafts at the Adrian Mall. She also enjoyed cards and board games. One of her greatest joys was visits from her children and grandchildren and making way too much food for family gatherings. She was very active in activities in Sand Creek Schools while her children were attending, including leading Girl Scouts and the PTO. Later in life, she enjoyed game shows with her husband and watching the bird feeders on their deck. She and her husband, Bob, would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on June 3rd.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Robert VanNieuwenhze of Jasper, MI; children, Robert VanNieuwenhze (Cynthia) of Adrian, MI, Tamara Guest (Lester) of Manchester, MI; and Jason (Adrianna) VanNieuwenhze of Adrian, MI; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Lila Butler, son, Scott VanNieuwenhze, and grandson, Anderson VanNieuwenhze.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or services. A private celebration of life will be held at a future date.
