ANNABELL MARIE BELKNAP, age 92 years of Hillsdale, passed away at her home in Hillsdale, on Saturday, May 24, 2025. She was born on July 30, 1932, in Scipo Township, the daughter of Alton and Mildred (Webster) Baker. She married Richard Belknap on December 12, 1952, in Hillsdale. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1990.

Ann’s first job was working at Bell telephone and Walgreens at the soda fountain. Later she became employed at Ganton Nursing Home, Permaneer Manufacturing of Hillsdale and lastly Addison Products. Ann’s greatest love was for her family and her grandchildren. She loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, baking, making homemade doll clothes and camping with her grandkids. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Ann is survived by two daughters, Sue Sheares and Cindy (Steve) Bolenbaugh, four grandchildren, Jason (Kristy) Bolenbaugh, April Donahoe, Rick Woodman and Alisha (Cameron) Speith, 12 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a foster sister, Suzanne Moore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Debbie Belknap, a grandson, Bradley Bolenbaugh, her parents, her foster parents, John and Ruth Carr, four sisters, Mary Flint, Joan Conklin, Georgann Turney and Peggy Kish, and two brothers, Alonzo and Darrell Baker.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison. Burial will follow at Somerset Center Cemetery in Somerset Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice.
