Lenawee County Health Department Gets Strategic

ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Health Department has updated its strategic plan, which includes refined priorities focused on workforce development, internal communication, community engagement, and data infrastructure.

The existing strategic plan was originally adopted in 2018. Acting Health Officer Monica Hunt acknowledged at the May 21st meeting that a new, updated, and broadened plan was needed.

Assisting the process is Mary Cushing, an experienced health officer and intern from Central Michigan University. She’ll get to work on the planning process starting in June, with implementation expected by the end of the fiscal year.

The $4,000 project is funded through a CDC infrastructure grant.
