ADRIAN — A small but notable park along Winter Street is being removed as part of a bigger vision.

The site known as Yew Park is being dismantled to make room for expanded parking. Built into the edge of an existing lot on the east side of Winter, Yew Park once featured benches and trees. Now, it’s fenced off and destined for asphalt — just one piece of a larger puzzle. Acting Administrator Vince Emrick had this to say:

The project falls under the city’s Winter Street redevelopment plan, which aims to reroute green space along the riverfront and inject life into an aging corridor.
