Mary Jeanne Willnow – Palmyra

Mary Jeanne Willnow (Collyer), age 78, of Palmyra, Michigan, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Mary was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and Gigi. She was born on December 9, 1946, to Clifford and Ethel Collyer of Adrian, Michigan. She went on to graduate from Sand Creek Schools and marry the love of her life, Mel, on June 10, 1967. Together, they raised four sons and she ended up being “mom” to many more. In her younger years, Mary was active in her community with 4H, Palmyra Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and Women’s Bowling League. When she wasn’t doing that, she love sewing, tending to her flowers, and camping trips with her family in Roscommon, Michigan.

Mary is survived by her four sons, Tony (Laurie Schisler) Willnow, Jim (Heather) Willnow, Rob (Jodi) Willnow, and Dan (Becky) Willnow; grandchildren, Kendra (Patrick) Cuthbertson, Drew Hull, Victoria Hull, Sami (Zach) Sperry, Avery Hull, Jamie Willnow, Alyssa Willnow, Nolan Hull, and Alanna Willnow; great-grandsons, Drake and Parker Cuthbertson; brother, Larry (Kay) Collyer; sister, Anne Zemnickas; and many nieces, nephews, and friends that loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Willnow; parents, Clifford and Ethel Collyer; sisters, Karen Osika and Jackie Osgood; daughter-in-law, Roxanne Willnow; and grandson, Matthew Willnow.

Mary’s life was full of love, kindness, and the most wonderful hugs. She is very loved and will be deeply missed.

Visitation for Mary will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM, and will continue until time of service at 1:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Fr. Bob Pienta will officiate and burial will follow in Palmyra Cemetery.
